We collect the minimum information necessary to provide our service: your email address (provided at checkout) and your contractor search queries. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe — HomeGrade never sees, stores, or has access to your card details.
Your information is used to: deliver your report to the email address you provided; process and confirm your payment; improve the HomeGrade service; and notify you of contractor status changes or service updates that may be relevant to your report. We do not use your information for any other purpose.
HomeGrade does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for any marketing or commercial purpose. Ever.
Reports are generated from publicly available sources, including: the NC Licensing Board for General Contractors, the Better Business Bureau, Google Places, Reddit (r/raleigh and r/triangle), and Wake County permit records. HomeGrade does not collect or store any non-public data about contractors.
All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Stripe’s handling of your payment information is governed by their own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy.
We retain your email address and report metadata for up to 12 months to support any technical issues with report delivery. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@gethomegrade.com.
HomeGrade uses minimal, functional cookies only — specifically those required to maintain your session during checkout. We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies.
You have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; request deletion of your data; and opt out of non-transactional email communications at any time by replying to any HomeGrade email. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@gethomegrade.com.
HomeGrade is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
